They have recently brought out Amanda Organic and while it is a good yerba, in my opinion it does not quite hold up to La Merced Organic. There are a couple reasons for this:
- the flavor does not hold up as long, meaning after a few mates, it has already lost a substantial amount of it's flavor
- in addition, the yerba gets watery pretty fast. We say "lavado" which means washed out when the yerba stays at the bottom of the gourd and the water is on top.
While it is still a very fine tasting yerba, and one where you can feel better about buying since it is an organic product so therefore should have less chemicals, etc. I would rate it overall in the middle of the pack based on taste alone, but with the combination of it being organic, I am willing to sacrifice a bit on taste.
